Setting the application rate on the MDS is extremely simple, accurate and precise. A new proportional application rate scale segment DFC (Direct flow Control) offers the ability to make easy percentage changes to pre-calibrated application rates. The DFC scale also simplifies metering changes from one field segment to another. A RAUCH exclusive.
Application rate adjustment is extremely simple, precise and reliable, undertaken on a large DFC segment scale in small steps from as low as 3 kg/ha.
MDS can be supplied as standard with a two-cylinder hydraulic remote control, which allows independent operation of both shutter slides to achieve left- or right-hand spreading. An elegant partial width spreading function which increases environmental friendliness and reduces fertiliser costs.
MDS - A successful conception
The heart of the MDS is its gearbox - solid, robust, reliable and maintenance-free.
The extremely slow rotating agitator (180 rpm) covers the complete outlet opening, keeping the metering shutter free and ensuring smooth fertiliser control. Granular fertilizers are gently moved to avoid unnecessary damage and trouble-free output is maintained, even during continued boundary spreading, or when operating on slopes.
Fast rotating discs (980 rpm) accelerate the fertiliser through the throwing vanes to achieve optimal release speeds.
The sign of a good spread pattern is wide spreading flanks with large overlap zones resulting in a balanced flat triangular pattern. Such a spreading pattern reacts less critically to outside influences, such as changes in fertiliser quality, operation and driving errors, or crosswinds.

MDS - the daily use proves the advantages of modern, practical orientated technology:
- Simply and easy operation
- quick cleaning
- reduced service time
Setting the application rate on the MDS with the DFC proportional scale is extremely simple, accurate and precise.
A refined quick disc locking mechanism greatly simplifies disc removal without the need of tools: for easy calibration checks; quick and easy purging of unused material. As fertiliser spreading characteristics can vary radically, only a calibration check will assure correct application rates. A calibration kit to control application rate settings is supplied as standard equipment with every MDS.
An elegant tool-free adjustment of disc vane lengths and angles allows the MDS to be quickly adapted to different fertiliser products and working widths. This means: highest precision for all sorts of fertilizers and seed products.
In normal spreading mode, the MDS maintains a horizontal and constant height above ground level, which simplifies tractor attachment and adjustment. For late top dressing, the top link is shortened slightly, allowing fertiliser to be distributed in such a way as to avoid damaging standing crops.
MDS - For your future!
The TELIMAT boundary spreading shield for spreading directly from the tramline. The TELIMAT boundary spreading system is controlled quickly and easily by hydraulically operated remote controls from the tractor cab. Seamless changes from boundary to normal spreading mode are achieved without interrupting the spreading operation, thus saving time and increasing efficiency. TELIMAT can be programmed to suit any tramline system.
GSE boundary spreading device for spreading directly at field edges. Optional the GSE can be controlled from the tractor cab with electrical or hydraulic remote control.
The MDS fertiliser spreader range incorporating boundary spreading equipment already fulfils all criteria of the European EN 13739-1 standards.
